Nalini Gulati

Nalini Gulati

I am Editorial Advisor at ‘Ideas for India’ (I4I), an economics and policy portal of International Growth Centre (IGC) at London School of Economics (LSE). I was also the founding Managing Editor of I4I and Country Economist at IGC India, serving in the roles during 2011-2022. Besides these full-time positions, I have worked as a consultant on projects focused on women’s economic empowerment – funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and led by senior academics at Indian Statistical Institute and Ashoka University. In the early years of my career, I was an Economist in the global health practice of Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA), and a Short Term Consultant for a nutrition project at World Bank India. I hold an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford, and B.A. (Hons.) Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi.

Vikas Dimble

I am a Director at the Isaac Centre for Public Policy (ICPP) at Ashoka University and the Content Editor of Ideas for India (I4I), an economics and policy portal of the International Growth Centre (IGC) at the London School of Economics. Prior to this, I served as Associate Director and India Lead for the DataDelta team at IDinsight. I have also held roles as Deputy Director at the Ashoka Centre for Economic Policy (ACEP), Ashoka University, and Assistant Director of Research and Strategy at the Tata Centre for Development (TCD), University of Chicago. Earlier in my career, I worked with the World Bank and J-PAL. I hold a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Development Economics from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), including an exchange year at Victoria University, Australia.

As the literature evolves, we update the blogs on this website to reflect the latest academic knowledge on the topic. In these cases, a record of the prior versions is available.
